LICENCE APPLICATION
To compete in the UKC for 2025 you will need an MSUK inter club karting licence for Honda Cadet and Rotax 177. If you do not own this, please follow the instructions below

For all other classes competing you will need an MSUK National Licence.
Step 1
Purchase ARKS pack

Containing educational films, a digital copy of the Motorsport UK Yearbook, and a booklet explaining everything you need to know, this pack is your first step in obtaining a Motorsport UK competition licence and getting out on track. The pack contains:

A competition Licence application form

A booklet introducing you to the world of karting and outlining the next steps to obtaining your first competition Licence

Links to your digital yearbook and educational films

An exclusive keyring
The fee for your first Motorsport UK licence is also included in the cost of the Starter Pack.

Make sure everything on the check list is covered

Pre ARKS Test Checklist
Please ensure the following before your ARKS test;

Apply to Motorsport UK for ARKS starter pack

Complete application form & attach passport sized photo

Arrange medical with doctor (Drivers over 18)

Practice regularly to achieve target lap time (within 10%)

Test yourself on flag signals & information in training DVD

Approved crash helmet to meet current regulations
-
CIK approved race suit
-
Gloves
-
Boots
-
Attach passport sized photo to licence upgrade card

Once you have passed the ARKS test
Apply for license with Motorsport UK via the MSUK online link or via competition licence form which is included in the ARKS pack.
